MEMS+ is another type of FEA based on MEMS specific libraries. Because MEMS+ models run much faster than FEA, designers can simulate the entire MEMS device, including gas damping effects and control circuitry. A full analysis of the MEMS design prior to actual fabrication requires simulating energy loss mechanisms such as gas damping, thermoelastic damping, and anchor loss.
